Touch of Frost
In October 1998, Bushman founder John Hall met the late harmonica legend Frank Frost at the King Biscuit Blues Festival. That meeting inspired Hall to create the Delta Frost harmonica. The Delta Frost
has stainless steel cover plates with a plastic comb milled and rounded for comfort. Instead of brass reeds, the Delta Frost has longer lasting phosphor-bronze reeds that not only provide hours of dependable play, but produce a dirty, bluesy tone. The Delta Frost is available in 14 keys including the 12 standard keys plus low F and high G.

Also known as a mbira or kalimba, the thumb piano arrived in the West from Africa and Indonesia. The keys of the thumb piano are metal strips, placed above a resonator, commonly made from a gourd. These strips, tuned so that pleasing melodies are easy to find, are plucked with the thumbs while the gourd is held with the fingers. The thumb piano is a wonderfully inexpensive and very portable instrument!
